The Storm's In His Hand

I remember as a child how I trembled as the lightening crashed through the night
How I hid my head as I lay in bed. So terrified at the sight. But I read within God's word
that without Him,not a sparrow falls from the sky,not a hair can be shead from the smallest head.
And now I sleep through those nights.

The wind that blows the winter snows, the storm clouds high up above.
Can just fulfill what is in the will of a God of goodness and love.
Lord, as lightening flashes all around me,as the thunder rattles my mind,
make me understand that the storm's in thy hand, that I may rest in Thee.

I'm much older now, but still the dark clouds gather, but they're clouds of a much different kind.
They're from storms of this life with its cares and strife. The storms that rage in my mind.
Oh, I cannot see He who holds the weather. Just performs what's good in His sight.
And if I trusted Him on some stormy night. Oh, why can't I trust Him with life?

The wind that blows the winter snows, the storm clouds high up above.
Can just fulfill what is in the will of a God of goodness and love.
Lord, as lightening flashes all around me,as the thunder rattles my mind,
make me understand that the storm's in thy hand, that I may rest in Thee.

Windows into the Soul

Eyes are windows into the soul
Through my life I've been told.
To see into anothers heart
Eyes are the place to start.
Be they hazel,green or blue
black,brown,color changing too.
Matters not what color they be
They show what one needs to see.
Through these windows the truths lies
Emotionally nothing hides.
Clear for all to recognize
Displayed to the world in ones eyes.
Evident are anger,lust and surprise,
fear, truth,hope and despise,
happiness,sorrow and confusion
Inside familiar eyes there is no illusion.
To gaze deeply is an intense moment
for the eyes are an intimate component.
Although prominent noticed by all
often the feature hardest to recall.

There Is A Hope

There is a hope that burns within my heart,
That gives me strength for ev'ry passing day;
a glimpse of glory now revealed in meager part,
Yet drives all doubt away:
I stand in Christ, with sins forgiv'n;
and Christ in me, the hope of heav'n!
My highest calling and my deepest joy,
to make His will my home.

There is a hope that lifts my weary head,
A consolation strong against despair,
That when the world has plunged me in its deepest pit,
I find the Savior there!
Through present sufferings, future's fear,
He whispers, "Courage!" in my ear.
For I am safe in everlasting arms,
And they will lead me home.

There is a hope that stands the test of time,
That lifts my eyes beyond the beckoning grave,
To see the matchless beauty of a day divine
When I behold His face!
When sufferings cease and sorrows die,
and every longing satisfied,
then joy unspeakable will flood my soul,
For I am truly home.

I'm Blessed

Each day that I live,He gives more than I need
I could never describe His goodness to me
You ask how I make it day after day
There's only one thing I can say
It's been a long journey but I have been blessed
Walking with Jesus I have no regrets
He is so good to me I must confess
The way has been long but I'm blessed
All that I need I find at His feet
When I'm hungry He feeds me with manna so sweet
When my soul is weary He sends peace and rest
And all I can say is I'm blessed.
It's been a long journey but I have been blessed
Walking with Jesus I have no regrets
He is so good to me I must confess
The way has been long but I'm blessed
Now I've had my share of sunshine and rain
Days filled with laughter and nights filled with pain
But with every mile as I travel this way
The journey gets sweeter each day.
It's been a long journey but I have been blessed
Walking with Jesus I have no regrets
He is so good to me I must confess
The way has been long but I'm blessed
I'm BLESSED
So much more than I'll ever deserve
I'M BLESSED
He's been faithful and true to his word
I'M BLESSED
I've been cleansed by the hand of the Lord
I'm blessed,I'm Blessed,I'm blessed
It's been a long journey but I have been blessed.
Walking with Jesus I have no regrets.
He is so good to me I must confess.
The way has been long but I'm blessed.
I'm blessed,I'm Blessed,I'M BLESSED

This probably my favorite song right now! :)

What is beauty?

What is beauty? A meadow of flowers? A baby's first breath? Perhaps a lightning bug giving of its magic to the evening twilight.
Is beauty withing or without? A pretty face or a soul saved by God's grace? Is beauty thing of relevance or just vanity? What about beauty affects so much passion and power our humble humanity?

The sound of a child's laughter? A rainbow displayed among the clouds after a summer's light rain? Where is the heartbeat of this question of beautiful beauty?
May hap the question is who is the heartbeat of waterfalls in paradise and seashells on sandy white beaches? For everything a purpose,so for what was beauty created?

For pleasure and majesty! For wonder and awe that we might seek to find the Answer of these my writings; a God more beautiful than all vivid imaginings! ~ Lisa Templeton - 2004

Two Temples

A builder builded a temple,
HE wrought it with grace and skill;
Pillars and groins and arches
All fashioned to work his will.
Men said,as they saw its beauty,
"It shall never know decay;
Great is thy skill,O builder!
Thy fame shall endure for aye."

A mother builded a temple
With loving and infinite care,
Planning each arch with patience,
Laying each stone with prayer.
None praised her unceasing efforts
None knew of her wondorous plan,
For the temple the mother builded
Was unseen by the eyes of man.

Gone is the builder's temple,
Crumpled into the dust;
Low lies each stately pillar,
Food for consuming rust.
But the temple the mother builded
Will last while the ages roll,
For that beautiful unseen temple
Was a child's immortal soul.

One Flaw In Women

Women have strengths that amaze men.....

They bear hardships and they carry burdens,

but they hold happiness, love and joy.

They smile when they want to scream.

They sing when they want to cry.

They cry when they are happy

and laugh when they are nervous.

They fight for what they believe in..

They stand up to injustice.

They don't take "no" for an answer

when they believe there is a better solution.

They go without so their family can have.

They go to the doctor with a frightened friend.

They love unconditionally.

They cry when their children excel

and cheer when their friends get awards.

They are happy when they hear about

a birth or a wedding.

Their hearts break when a friend dies.

They grieve at the loss of a family member,

yet they are strong when they

think there is no strength left.

They know that a hug and a kiss

can heal a broken heart.

Women come in all shapes, sizes and colors.

They'll drive, fly, walk, run or e-mail you

to show how much they care about you.

The heart of a woman is what

makes the world keep turning.

They bring joy, hope and love.

They have compassion and ideas.

They give moral support to their

family and friends.

Women have vital things to say

and everything to give.

HOWEVER, IF THERE IS ONE FLAW IN WOMEN,

IT IS THAT THEY FORGET THEIR WORTH.

The Call

It started out as a feeling
Which then grew into a hope
Which then turned into a quiet thought
Which then turned into a quiet word

And then that word grew louder and louder
'Til it was a battle cry

I'll come back
When you call me
No need to say goodbye

Just because everything's changing
Doesn't mean it's never
Been this way before

All you can do is try to know
Who your friends are
As you head off to the war

Pick a star on the dark horizon
And follow the light

You'll come back
When it's over
No need to say good bye

You'll come back
When it's over
No need to say good bye

Now we're back to the beginning
It's just a feeling and no one knows yet
But just because they can't feel it too
Doesn't mean that you have to forget

Let your memories grow stronger and stronger
'Til they're before your eyes

You'll come back
When they call you
No need to say good bye

You'll come back
When they call you
No need to say good bye
